Daniel "Danny" Roy Rogers

Daniel "Danny" Roy Rogers age 71 of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Des Moines Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 3rd  at the Lake Darling Lodge from 1-4 p.m .

The immediate family will hold a graveside service at Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetery.  Memorials have been established to Pleasant Plain Friends Church and the the Richland Lions Club and can be mailed to Rosanne Rogers, 1346 Hwy. 1, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Danny was born January 7, 1949, in Fairfield to Roy Weldon and Edith Marie (Elmore) Rogers.  He married Rosanne Carolee Blosser on August 7, 1971.  This year they celebrated 49 years of marriage.

Danny served in the National Guard and earned his Diesel Tech degree through Indian Hills.  He was the founder of Rogers Ag Repair a lifelong farmer.  Danny served in numerous positions at Pleasant Plain Friends Church and the Richland Lions Club.  He was formerly on the board of trustees for William Penn University and the Greater Jefferson County Foundation.

Danny will be missed by his wife, Rosanne of Fairfield; his children, Brent (Renee) Rogers of Ottumwa, Anita (Chad) McCue of Bloomington, IL, Curt (LaShai) Rogers and Andy (Brittany) Rogers both of Packwood; his father, Roy Rogers; and two siblings, Jean White of Mesa, Arizona and Mark (Caralee) Rogers of Douds, Iowa.  He was a doting grandfather to Cyrus, Hannah, Weston and Owen Rogers, and Cole, Eva, Gray, and Camden McCue, as well as many special nieces and nephews.

Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Rogers.
