Daniel Edwin Hewitt

Daniel Edwin Hewitt, age 62, of Fairfield, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Jefferson County Health Center.

Visitation for family & friends will be held 10:00 am – 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Behner Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am.  Cremation will follow the service and burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery at a future date.

Daniel was born August 17, 1955, in Des Moines to Donald and Estella Eiune (Gore) Hewitt.

Daniel has lived in Fairfield since his early childhood.  He was a self-employed long-haul truck driver.  Some of Daniel’s interests were his love for animals, trains, traveling and his coffee visits at Loglis.  He was proud and loving of his children and grandchildren.

Left to share Daniel’s memories are his daughters, Michelle Nabiliwa, Karen (Dan) Hewitt, Stephanie (David) Hewitt; and eight grandchildren, Taylor, Davin, Elysee, Erica, Joshua, Olivia, Liam and Ethan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Eiune Hewitt; and sister, Susan Scearcy.
