Graveside services for Charles Daniel and Dixie Rae Dyer of Streamwood, Illinois, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Richland Friends Cemetery in Richland. Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is caring for the family.

     Charles Daniel Dyer was born May 8, 1953 in Ottumwa, the son of David Worth and Lois Jean (Sanders) Dyer. He worked as a computer IT specialist for numerous companies, including Symantec. Dan passed away June 17, 2026 at his home at the age of 73.

     Dixie Rae Hadley was born October 30, 1954 in Fairfield, the daughter of Raymond and Virginia (Long) Hadley. She held various jobs in the Chicagoland area. Dixie passed away May 30, 2026 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois at the age of 71.

     Dan and Dixie were married May 22, 1979 in Oskaloosa. They enjoyed trips to Jamaica, and loved their dogs. Dixie loved riding in her red Pontiac Sunfire convertible, with the top down.

     Those left to honor their memory include Dan’s brothers, Paul, Stephen, and David “Vic” Dyer; and many nieces and nephews.

     They were preceded in death by their parents; and Dan’s sister, Dianna Rupe.
