D. Lucille Graf

D. Lucille Graf, age 94, formerly of Lockridge, IA, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2007 at the Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield, IA.

Funeral services were held 10:30 AM, Friday, October 5, 2007 at Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial was in Lockridge Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made in lieu of flowers to Shriner's Children's Hospital.

Donie Lucille Graf was born August 18, 1913 in Webster County, KY, the daughter of Owen and Cordie (Travis) Towery. She was a graduate of Shady Grove High School in Shady Grove, KY. Lucille was united in marriage with Harlan Graf in Germanville, IA on January 27, 1946. They are the parents of three children: Richard, Mary, and Louise. Harlan died January 6, 1982.

Lucille was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her hobbies included reading and sewing.

Her children and their families survive Lucille: Richard Graf and wife Jane of Bloomfield, IA, Mary Larson and husband David of Chandler, AZ, and Louise Olson and husband Gary of Omak, WA. She has six grandchildren: Robin Burnett, Gene Olson, Travis Olson, Amanda Larson, Michael Graf, and Scott Graf, as well as 12 great-grandchidren. Survivors include three brothers: Travis Towery of Palm Coast, FL, Franklin Towery of Providence, KY, and Robert Towery of Hanson, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harlan, three brothers and one sister: John Henry, Clyde, Thomas, and Kathryn.
