Cornelia “Louise” Hoskins, age 85, of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics, Iowa City, IA.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Pleasant Plain Friends Church, Pleasant Plain, IA.
Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Thursday, April 23, at Pleasant Plain Friends Church with Pastor Mac McDonald officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetery.

Louise was born April 10, 1930 to Clyde and Edith (Bonar) Countryman in Keosauqua, IA. She married George Sharts in 1948. He passed away 1971. In 1972 she married Hubert Hoskins at the Pleasant Plain Friends Church.
Louise lived most of her life in Jefferson County and was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Plain Friends Church. Louise loved spending time with family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren.
Louise is survived by her husband, Hubert Hoskins; 4 children, Dalene (Larry) Hook of Brighton, IA, Gary (Kathy) Hoskins of Iowa City, IA, Jim (Gwen) Hoskins of Fairfield, IA, and Lugene (Russell) Jackson of Laporte, CO; 8 grandchildren, Deana (Lance) Schlicher, Leslie (Jon) Eckhoff, Jered (Nicole) Hook, Matthew Hoskins, Melissa Hoskins, Marcus (Susan) Hoskins, Joel (Hanna) Hoskins and Charlie Rollins; 12 great grandchildren; and one sister, Donna (Melvin) Story of Birmingham, IA.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Sharts; four brothers, Veryl, Dale, Clifford and Dean Countryman; one sister, Maxine Wolfe; and one step daughter and son – in law, Charlene and John Ibbotson.
