Christopher Lewis Florence

     Christopher Lewis Florence, 66, a resident of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at his home.

     The family will have a private graveside service. 

     Chris was born September 17, 1958 in Greensboro, North Carolina, the son of Marvin and Bertice (Mathis) Florence. He loved nature, meditation and an avid learner of Tai Chi and Kung Fu Martial Arts. Throughout his life, Chris worked as a painter. 

     Those left to honor his memory include his brothers, Tommy and Marty Florence; and sister, Beverly Neal (Tavis). 

     He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Jennings Florence and Elizabeth Clark Florence; brothers, Troy Florence and Marvin "Daniel" Florence.
