Charles William Brown

Charles William Brown age 79 of Abingdon, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at his home.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at Abingdon Cemetery, Abingdon, Iowa.  Memorials may be made to the family and mailed to Olen Brown, 1561 Jefferson Street, Batavia, Iowa 52533.

Charles was born November 29, 1940, in Queen City, Missouri.  He married Sally Joann Mathews and she later passed away.

Charles worked at Dexter as a laborer and Burnsteins Junk Yard in Oskaloosa.  He liked being outside tinkering on motors, collecting mower parts and scrapping junk.

Charles is survived by his sons, Olen and Loren Brown; two step daughters, Jan Shields and Debbie Clahon; 3 grandchildren, Mary Lynn Emery, Skyler Brown and Logan Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, his siblings, Olen, Loran, Ore, Horn, Florence, Irene and Lorean.
