Catherine Helen “Kay” Buch age 90, of Fairfield passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Keota Health Care Center in Keota, IA.

Christian Prayer Wake Service will be 6:00 pm, Wednesday, April 12, 2017, with visitation for family and friends to follow till 8:00 p.m. at St Mary Catholic Church.

Funeral Liturgy Outside Mass Service will be 10:00 am, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Reverend Nick Adam officiating. Burial will be at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.

Kay was born May 22, 1926 to Peril Leo and Mary Regina (Hurley) Coen. She married Lloyd Constant Buch in Burlington, IA on October 16, 1948. They celebrated 62 of marriage before he passed away November 2, 2010.

Kay has lived in the Fairfield community for over 68 years. She attended St. Mary Catholic Church and was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society. She was a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother. Kay enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Kay is survived by her 4 children, Mary (Ray Gieselman) Morrone of Arkansas, Ronald (Marsha) Buch of Des Moines, Alan (Kim) Buch of North Carolina, and Theresa Ann Small of Fairfield; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret (Homer) Horras of Springfield, MO.

Kay was preceded by: her parents, Peril and Mary Coen; husband, Lloyd Buch; one son, Jerry Buch; and two brothers, Lloyd and Louise Coen.
