Carole Ann Scheppmann (née Magnuson) was born on May 21, 1943 in Los Angeles. Carole grew up in Southern California, her devotion to TM brought her to Fairfield in the early 1980s. She was a lifelong teacher – of high-school English, yoga, and Transcendental Meditation. Her deep spirituality grounded her and gave her strength throughout her life.

Carole found joy in her family - her children, Matt and Elizabeth, her grandchildren, Leon, Ula, Indie, and Dane, and her adored husband of forty-eight years, Lee.

She loved the arts and was an accomplished pianist, writer, actor, and singer. She remained a voracious reader throughout her life. She loved to laugh and she was a wiz at cards.

Of course, she was so much more to the many who loved and admired her and she will be deeply missed. Carole passed on March 12, 2026 at home in Fairfield.
