Brian James Kelley, age 64 of Keosauqua, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020, at the University of Iowa Hospital.

In-lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family and mailed to PO Box 297, Keosauqua, Iowa 52565.

Open visitation will be 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2021, at Behner Funeral Home.  Family will not be present.

Brian was born January 28, 1956, in Ottawa, IL to Everett and Louise (Pierce) Kelley. He married Patsy Hannes on November 25, 1978 in Brenham, TX.

Brian was a jack of all trades and loved to challenge himself by learning something new every day.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening and landscaping.  He had a special place in his heart caring for stray animals. Most important to him, was his time spent with grandkids and passing on everything he had learned on to them.

Brian will be missed by his wife, Patsy of Keosauqua; his two children, Amber (Brian) Bartholomew of Keosauqua and Patrick (Miranda) Kelley of Orion, IL; 6 grandchildren, Skyler, Tayton and Maycie Bartholomew, Brooklynn, Jace, Everleigh Kelley; 1 great grandchild; Kendyl Bruegge; two brothers, Mike (Shelley) Kelley and Tim (Sandy) Kelley both of Fairfield; and his nieces and nephews.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Louise Kelley; and his siblings, Patrick, Dennis and Sally Kelley.
