Beverly "Bev" J. Olson

Beverly “Bev” J. Olson, age 77 of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Jefferson County Health Center, Fairfield, IA.

Visitation for family & friends will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Friday, May 19, 2017 at First United Methodist Church with Dave Goehring officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Bev was born May 17, 1939 to Weslie E. and Charlotte (Becker) Olson in Mt. Pleasant, IA.

She graduated from Fairfield High School with the Class of 1958. Bev lived most of her life in Jefferson County. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lydia Circle and UMW. Bev was a board member of the Fairfield Public Library and treasurer for FHS Class of 1958. She liked to follow the Iowa Hawkeyes basketball.

Bev is survived by one sister, Shelley Olson of Ft. Worth, TX; and 9 nieces and nephews.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents, Weslie and Charlotte Olson; two brothers, Wendell Olson and Richard Olson; one sister, Shirley Brown; and one niece, Terri Olson.
