Arthur Edward Worley, age 93, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Ottumwa Regional Hospital.

Services with Military Rites by Ottumwa American Legion Post #3, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Metz officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Behner Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church and may be sent c/o Sandra Kay Miller P.O. Box 1311 Ottumwa, Iowa 52501.

Arthur was born in Fairfield, on March 24, 1917, to Roy Edward and Florence Margaret Charlton Worley. He married Marjorie June Diehl on August 20, 1944 at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.

Arthur was a veteran of WWII, where he was a medic with the Army. He was also a farmer and did insurance sales. He was a life long resident of the Fairfield community. He liked to play cards and pool, fish with his grandchildren and reminisce with family and friends.

Arthur is survived by his wife: Marjorie of Ottumwa, 4 children: Jane (Paul) Knapp of Marion, Iowa, Larry (late Sandra) Worley of Fairfield, Iowa, Marsha (Leo) Worley-Vandello of Ottumwa and Sandra (Mike) Miller of Ottumwa, Iowa, 4 grandchildren: Shawn (Joni) Worley, Kent (Staci) Worley, Scott (Ashley) Worley, Kimberly Jones, and 6 great grandchildren: Ashlyn, Landon, Jacob, Haileigh, Kody and Kolton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister: Katherine Booth and 2 brothers: Harold and Charles Worley, both in infancy.
