Anna Virginia Johnston

Anna "Virginia" Johnston, age 88, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Van Buren Good Samaritan Care Center in Keosauqua, Ia.

Visitation with family and friends will be Friday Jan. 15, 2010 from 12:30 TO 1:30 p.m. at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Behner Fuenral Home with Pastor Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham,Ia.

Anna " Virginia" Johnston was born June 22, 1921 in Danville, Ia. to Edward and Flossie Lake Dockendorff, she married Robert "Bruce" Johnston June 16, 1946 in Danville, Ia. He died Nov. 15, 1998.

Virginia has lived most of her life in the Birmingham Community. She was a beautician and a homemaker. Virginia was a member of the Birmingham United Methodist Church.

Virginia is survived by 2 sons and their families; Robert (Jeralyn) Johnston of Prophetstown, IL. and Jim (Rose) Johnston of Wichita, KS., and 6 grandchildren.

Virginia was preceded by her husband Robert "Bruce" Johnston, 1 son Dennis Johnston, 4 brothers; Frank, Henry, Jim, and Edward Dockendorff.
