Alice Marie Starr Huth

Alice Marie was born on December 22, 1911, the daughter fo James Arthur and Emma Roberts Starr, in Eldon, Iowa.

Alice married Charles Milo Huth on February 23, 1946 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. They were the parents of five children. He died November 14, 1986 in Jupiter, Florida.

Alice had lived in Maplewood Manor in Keota, Iowa, with previous residences in Wellman, Iowa, Fairfield, Iowa and Hobe Sound, florida. She was a devoted homemaker and mother. Alice was also employed as secretary at the Dexter Company. She was a former parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Altar & Rosary Society.

Survivors include her children and their families: Dawn Jones of Wellman, IA, Kathy (Ken) Nicholl of Glendale Heights, IL, Tom (Susan) Huth of Longmont, CO, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Included is one sister, Ruth Starr Hunt of Fairfield, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters:
Barbara Susan Huth & Mary Ellen (Ellie) Hayden and one sister, Madeline Starr Bouslaugh.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 AM, Friday, February 18, 2005 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield, IA. Fr. Stephen Page officiated with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

The Rosary was recited 4:00 PM, Thursday, February 17, 2005 by The Altar and Rosary Society at Behner Funeral Home, followed by Prayers for a Christian Wake at 7 PM, with family visitation to follow.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
