Alden I. Biggs

Alden Biggs, age 83, of Fairfield, IA, passed away Monday, May 5, 2008 at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

Open visitation will be held from Noon to 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, May 9, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with Rev. Dave Peterson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Alden I. Biggs was born August 13, 1924 in Douds, IA to Howard and Clarice (Olson) Biggs. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1943, and lived most of his life in Jefferson County.

Alden was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a self-employed farmer in Cedar Township and a member of the HyVee Coffee Club.

Alden is survived by his twin sister, Arlene Roberts of Fairfield, and special nephew, Allen Biggs and wife Cindy and their family of Fairfield, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, and three sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers; Florence Biggs, Edna Peterson, Benjamin, Charles, Harold, and Wayne Biggs.
