Alan Bruce North

Alan Bruce North, age 52, passed away February 17, 2011 at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Wotherspoon officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday February 21, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family. Cards and memorials may be sent to Michelle North 200 N. 28th St. Lot 90 Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Alan B. North was born August 3, 1958 to Buddy and Neva Roberts North, in Keosauqua, Iowa. He married Michelle Pogodzinski on September 20, 2005 in Ottumwa, Iowa.

He had worked as a machinist at John Deere for 20 years. He liked trains, NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends.

Alan is survived by his parents, wife, 3 children: Angela North of Iowa City, Ryan North of Ames and Amber (Jon) Heintz of Twenty Nine Palms, California and 1 grandchild: Aidan Heintz.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
