Agnes V. Carroll

Agnes V. Carroll, age 80 of Fairfield passed away, Friday, August 7, 2015 at Parkview Care Center.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Behner Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Len Maselli officiating with burial to follow.

Agnes was born March 4, 1935 to Ralph and Stella (Devries) Hiemstra in Morris, Iowa.

Agnes was raised in California and in 2000 moved to Fairfield. She enjoyed sewing, jigsaw puzzles, word search and collected hummingbirds & bells. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family.

Agnes is survived by her children, Vivian O’Carroll of Fairfield, IA, Florence Carroll of Fairfield, Janice Butner of Douds, IA, Fred O’Carroll of Packwood, IA and Lilliea Brookman of Fairfield, IA; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Nate Hiemstra and Ralph Hiemstra.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Stella Hiemstra; three brothers, Frances, Doug and Curt Jager; and one sister, Marlys Jager.
