Born in Iowa Falls, Iowa, on November, 9, 1948, to Wendell and Jean Stoner of Alden, Iowa, Kim (Stoner) Adam, graduated from Ackley-Geneva High School in 1966. She graduated from Ellsworth Jr. College in 1968, and worked as an Executive Secretary at Harper Brush in Fairfield, Iowa, from 1968 through 1973.

Kim married Gary Adam on February 7, 1970, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fairfield. They had three children. In addition to assisting her husband on the farm, she worked for two years at Farm Bureau Insurance. She then worked as the Office and Warehouse Manager with her husband in their seed and shuttle business for 20 years. Kim returned to school in 2005, graduating with honors with a degree in medical transcription.

Kim was a talented artist and writer. She painted beautiful ceramics and was famous among friends and family for her annual Christmas letters and poems. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, being on the water in the summer and camping at the Iowa State Fair for 30 years. She loved playing cards, entertaining, and decorating her home for the holidays. Kim was an avid reader and liked watching movies and studying history. She could often be found outside of their home on the farm, walking with her Labrador Retrievers. Kim was especially proud of her children and grandchildren. Kim lived fully, laughed loudly, gave generously and loved completely.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Adam, her brother Jim (Terri) Stoner, and sister Kay (Stoner) McCoy. She is also survived by her children Jackie Sorenson, Brad (Gina) Adam, and Tyler (fiancé Brittney Crawford) Adam. She also has two beloved grandchildren, Erica Lack and Alina Adam. Do Not Ask Me to Remember

Do not ask me to remember,

Don’t try to make me understand,

Let me rest and know you’re with me,

Kiss my cheek and hold my hand.

I’m confused beyond your concept,

I am sad and sick and lost.

All I know is that I need you

To be with me at all cost.

Do not lose your patience with me,

Do not scold or curse or cry.

I can’t help the way I’m acting,

Can’t be different though I try.

Just remember that I need you,

That the best of me is gone,

Please don’t fail to stand beside me,

Love me ’til my life is done.
