Catherine "Joan" Mineart age 77, of Fairfield passed away July 17, 2012 at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

A Memorial service will be 6:oo p.m. Monday July 23 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Higden officiating. Burial of Cremains will be at a later date.

Visitation for family and friends will follow the memorial service from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. monday July 23, 2012 at Behner Funeral Home.

A Memorial has been established, memorials and cards can be sent to; 1215 Pleasant Plain Road, Brighton, Iowa  52540.

According to her wishes her body has been cremated.

Catherine "Joan" Mineart was born February 14, 1935 in Creston, Iowa to Fay Marsh and Aneita Gail Else. She was raised by her Step Father Charles Raymond Brown. She married Joseph Mineart on August 27, 1966 in Fairfield. He died March 1, 2005.
 
Joan was a life long resident of Fairfield area, She was a homemaker and worked in food service most of her life , she retird from Hardee's in1994.

Joan is survived by 2 daughters and 2 sons and families, Linda Madron of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Debra Hoage of Enumclaw, Washington, Doug (Joanna) Mineart of Allen, Texas, and Craig (Sherri) Mineart of Pleasant Plain, Iowa. 11 Grandchildren; Billy Workman, Christopher Ocanas, Jacob Ocanas, Bryan Hoage, James 'Matt" Hoage, Sophia Mineart, Joshua Mineart, Dylan Mineart Gabriela Mineart, Travis Madron, Brandon Porter, 3 Great Grandchildren; Madison Ocanas, Ayremas Ocanas, Joseph Ocanas. 1 Sister Glenna Blaisdell of Ravensdale, Washington. numerous nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded by; Husband Joseph Mineart, parents Ray and Aneita Brown and 1 sister Dorothy Simington.
