Francis A. “Fay” Weber, age 73 of Douds, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Hospice in Ottumwa, Iowa.

There will be a private family graveside service at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, with Pastor Jerry Caughron officiating.

Fay was born on July 12, 1939 in Webster, Iowa to Edward and Myrtle Snakenburg Weber. He married Shirley Loomis on June 17, 1961 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield.

He retired from Iowa Telecom as a line crew supervisor after 30 years. He enjoyed camping, woodworking and spending time with his friends and family.

Fay is survived by his wife: Shirley, 3 children: Michael (Jackie) Weber of Brighton, Michelle Weber of Brighton and Marlene (Jim) Harbison of Fairfield, 8 grandchildren: Dustyn, Heather, Seth, Tiffany, Shaera, Sheena, Lynzee and Jeremy, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 brother: James Weber of Phoenix, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister: Lucille Zachmeyer.
