Virginia Carol Bush, 95, of Ankeny and formerly of Fairfield, passed away May 15, 2012, at Mill-Pond Retirement Community in Ankeny.
Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Art Sathoff will be officiating.
Memorial contributions may be directed toward Iowa Health Hospice, in loving memory of Virginia. Cards and memorials can be sent to 318 SE 2nd Street, Ankeny, Iowa 50021.
Virginia was born to Fred and Mary Little July 5, 1916, in Fairfield as the tenth of twelve children. In 1937 she married Earl E. Bush.
Virginia graduated from Fairfield High School in 1934. Virginia was employed by the Fairfield Glove Factory for many years and was a member of the First Christian Church of Fairfield and since 1949 a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons: Jerry (Donna) Bush of Florence, Arizona, Michael (Karen) Bush of Ankeny, grandchildren: Dennis (Dorothy) Bush of Cedar Rapids, Terri (Richard) Clark of Des Moines, Stacy (John) Williams of Ankeny, great-grandchildren: Ashley (Daniel) Robbins of North Liberty, Marley and Adah Clark of Des Moines, Nathan and Natalie Williams of Ankeny and many nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband: Earl in 1984, her parents, and eleven siblings: brothers-Clyde, Ralph, Harry, Elbert, Horace, Paul, Glen, and Walter Little; sisters-Ethel Murphy, Ruth Nedderman, and Mildred McIntire and a grandson: Alan M. Bush.
