Lois Ruth Miller Beswick

Lois Ruth Miller Beswick, age 88, passed away in Kansas City , Missouri on Friday, April 13, 2012.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Stockport United Methodist Church in Stockport, Iowa. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery, east of Birmingham, Iowa. Pastor Peg Ellingson will be officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, April 16, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, Iowa. 

Cards and memorials to Stockport United Methodist Church, Stockport Library, or Stockport Fire Department can be sent to Diane Jones, 8601 Brenda Lane, Pleasant Valley, Missouri, 64068.

Lois Ruth Beswick was born on February 5, 1924 in Birmingham, Iowa to Albert C. Miller and Alta Belle Behner Miller. She graduated from Birmingham High School. On October 26, 1945 she married James Harold Beswick. He passed away on May 26, 1986. Lois was a homemaker and worked part time at several different care centers.

Lois is survived by two daughters: Deborah (Darrell) Ann Ratliff of Edmond, Oklahoma and Diane (Loren) Ruth Jones of Pleasant Valley, Missouri, one son: James Douglas Beswick of Kansas City,
Missouri, four grandchildren: Matthew Ratliff, Michael Ratliff, Jason Costello, and Jeffrey Costello, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son: Michael Beswick, three brothers: David Miller, Maurice Miller, and Dale Miller, and one sister: Marribelle Warner.
