Daniel Carrol Goehring, age 92, passed away March 28, 2012 at Chariton Nursing & Rehab Center in Chariton, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 1:30p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, Iowa with Pastor Nate Nims officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery, south of Libertyville, Iowa.

Visitation for family and friends will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Behners.

Daniel Carrol Goehring was born on January 4, 1920 near Libertyville, Iowa to Andrew Louie Goehring and Hazel Hill Goehring. He graduated from Libertyville High School. On August  29, 1946 he married Helen Marie Laughlin at Mt. Moriah Church in Douds, Iowa. He was a farmer in Buchanan Township and lived most of his life in the Fairfield area.

Daniel is survived by his children: Melvin Goehring of Fairfield, Bob (Terry) Goehring of Monticello, Wisconsin, Judy (Joe) Shafer of Chariton, Iowa and Donald (Rhonda) Goehring of Coucil Bluffs, Iowa,  two brothers: Glen (Virginia) Goehring of Marion, Iowa and Raymond (Letha) Goehring of Fairfield, one sister: Mable (Carroll) Berg of Waverly, Iowa, eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helen, two brothers: Keith Goehring and Karl Goehring, and two sisters: Ferne Mineart and Darlene Reynolds.
